What are the practical things required to getting your token on an exchange like coinbase? Especially interested for tokens with the supply fully available, would they acquire tokens needed on the public market? Do they expect that from you in some way?

To list on an exchange like Coinbase, you'll need a robust legal framework, solid technology, market demand, and often provide liquidity yourself, as acquisitions on the public market are not guaranteed by exchanges.
