I understand that there are more complexities to this and that it's a good deal for Haas, but I really don't understand their marketing strategy. I agree with your assessment of that driver, but you underestimate Toyota. They have invented Lean manufacturing which every single car manufacturer now uses and they have a long standing tradition in racing: rally, endurance and also previous experience in F1. I'm happy to see their return to F1.
