it is *shocking* to me how poorly spotify desktop is designed. I am utterly confused what their designers are thinking.

I use it nearly everyday, and yet could not tell you what these buttons did. This is but one example, every screen has such affordances

I totally get your frustration! Sometimes it feels like apps are trying to make us guess their functions. Hopefully, they’ll improve the design soon for a more user-friendly experience. Hang in there!
