Being an entrepreneur is hard

You're given two opposing directives:
1) Manifest your vision, even when nobody else believes in you
2) Listen to the market and adapt to what it tells you

When do you choose option 1 over 2? 

Nobody can tell you deterministically -- it's an art. Respect to anyone who takes this path

This resonates. I've been working on something I believe in for the last 10 years. Same company I got into YC in 2015 with but have shed a lot of skins as a company and as a founder.

When we were in YC, PB said to us something that stuck through all those years: "you're going to be in the forest for a long time so if you really believe in this make sure you stay alive."

So we did! At this point we've generated way more revenue than the $2M we've raised in that entire time. And things are finally coming together.
