Random question for Indians here:

What is the mood in the country regarding the idea of changing the timezone toward something aligned with UTC (either +5 or +6)?

Intuitively it feels like it could be a significant convenience boost given the growing desire and ability to participate more in the international economy

To be honest, the country doesn’t have a take on it. 

Or at least I haven’t come across any discussions around this topic. Although a more aligned time zone could boost international economy participation especially support software and consulting gigs.
