switching my ethereum client to Reth now waiting for sync … i just love endlessly looking at progress in the logs, the magical rhythm and flow of the chain, the beauty and complexity … and then people claim the world is disenchanted by technology lol

I am using nethermind. How fast is the sync time and memory consumption for reth?

reth full node just synced in about 3.5 days, about 1.5tb disk space, memory use really ok, 15gb total for ethereum reth/nimbus + gnosis erigon/nimbus - all feels stable and fast

sync time will depend on your hardware specs i’m on a dappnode which is pretty solid - started syncing monday morning, it’s now 50% of stage 4/14. expecting being in sync in about 3 -5 days, but we’ll see. during sync it peaks between 16-32gb memory use and I’ve read during normal operation its 8-16gb for a full node, what i’m dowing. it’s fine since my machine has 64gb so no worries. trying reth bc i heard it’s fast and light. running nimbus as consensus client (also for gnosis). pretty happy with that.
