Decentralizing channels work in progress

We're planning a 2 phase migration for decentralizing channels:

1. Clean up Warpcast-only channel features — next week or so
2. Decentralize into the protocol — 2-3 months

It won’t matter how FC is developed if  cool accounts that are only using humans to cast are censored by the FC algorithm.. FC needs to focus on how to retain human users. I f not we go back to X when frames launch there

There is no Farcaster algorithm. Just clients.

Regardless of the specifics of the tech.  I hope you understand FC is censoring my cast because I dont have powerbadge. You have to fix this

It's not censorship. You just don't get an extra boost.

Anyone who wants to follow you will see your casts.

That’s the point !!  Non power badge user not getting the boost is horrible!!  The rich keep getting g richer ..

not everyone, we get it; but i think yall tried to get a lil too fancy too quick introducing the power badges over the old active badges ; imo its only caused more harm than good - the rules are unclear and imprecise and ive seen many quality users turned off and (in effect) muted for not having one because of it

i completely agree with you and many of my friends who are high value (non spammy) artists are getting discouraged. It really feels like a curse not having a PB. There must be a better way…

Thank you Sarto for intercepting this convo.  IMO- FC needs to develop a human authentication for their users in order to not mute non power badge users..
 I am literally busting my ass on this app everyday for the last 90+ days to help build the network and most of my carats get muted?? That’s fawked up

It's so obviously a bad system that it begets a motive. With multiple minds at work, someone in the drawing room had to foresee the VERY OBVIOUS downsides to their system, yet they chose to implement it. That to me is very questionable all the way down to intended valuation.
