So you've seen a role advertised on the @plexus website and want to apply. Read this first! It’s easy to see a job description, think “I could do that”, and hit apply. But here’s the reality - our listed requirements aren’t just suggestions. 🔑 9 times out of 10, they’re non-negotiables, straight from the client. Our clients are some of the best in the Web3 space, and they have high standards. If your resume doesn’t clearly show you meet the key requirements listed, you won’t get put forward. So what can you do? ✅ Read the job description and the 'requirements' section thoroughly – Don’t just skim. Understand what’s truly required. ✅ Be honest with yourself – Do you have the right experience? If not, consider upskilling first or looking at more junior roles. ✅ Tailor your resume – Make sure your skills align with what’s listed. Recruiters don’t have time to assume. Happy to answer any questions about this! Feel free to comment below ⬇️

fair how many engineers are this strict though? Many apply on a "fits well enough" principle, especially if doing so in bulk. It's good to see Plexus having a clear message here, but it's only as effective as a disclaimer present on all JDs. On the other side of the convo, as I'm sure you know, hiring managers are sometimes not great at expressing their expectations, making the JD ripe for the "I could do that" attitude. eg. "fast-paced, quick learner" followed by some under-specified tech stack or goals.

Yes! Works if you have specifics i.e languages they need to know or have X years experience at X level, which we try to be super clear on. Some are more vague! Not sure what you mean by 'how many engineers are this strict'? Maybe you can explain :)

To rephrase: How many applicants actually are carefull their experience/resume matches the JD to a high degree? When they shotgun-apply to >10 jobs, a match of 50% is often good enough in their eyes. Blind and Reddit are full of people saying they apply to hundreds of roles. It's a conversation I've had many times IRL with recruiters and hiring managers. Mindfulness from both sides saves everyone time, so it's good to see @plexus has a clear guidance!

Ah yes. Exactly why I was sharing! It also leads to frustration on both sides, always better to make less applications - ones where you are actually a great fit
