Is the blockchain so heavily linked to direct financial incentives that it’s the only driver to consumer adoption and uses?

Most ideas haven’t gone past the cryptocurrencies use cases which Bitcoin set out, even if it was very clearly given only as an example. POAP is one of the few great exceptions. What would be needed to have more diversity?

More identity data and supply chain data, on-chain. This brings up a number of use cases benefiting from the transparency but trustless nature you prove something happened that I believe there are a lot of great use cases for. To bring the data we need solutions to enable it
