Daily rant: why do people like iMessage? 

- 2nd worst in spam  (after telegram)   
- doesn't sync contacts and some conversations to desktop 
- lets one person have many identities (phone + email) 
- almost no one has pfps 
- tapbacks are boomer

I get why people use it, but why do some people actually prefer it

the contacts thing is one of the most annoying for me. embedded somewhere deep inside, apple remembers I used my university email to set up my phone, and iMessage contacts sync from there. so if I don’t add contacts using that email, it’ll never sync to iMessage
