so it was screen recording, then recording me voice over, then determining how to the slides, or a freeze frame here, or replace with a screenshot with some information redacted...
but i learned alot

if you're on mac you can use ScreenStudio

It does the picture in picture + zooms automatically and has an edit function for speed ups and freeze frames

Literally all I use now a days (came from full blown final cut with custom animations)

trying it out for my next one no doubt

I set it up with a template so I can get camera in the same size/position + background to be on brand every time just when opening the edit. Then I skim through once, adjust zooms / take something out or speed up and am good to go

just when blurring I take the export to FinalCut when I can't just cut the section out
