Vercel V0 has the best AI prompt prototyper so far. bolt is nicer in UI but the code is shite and it fails to implement features fully (just does the main page) v0 mocks full functionality but needs to really be nudged to nice UI while the structure itself of components and UI never is bad. Never bad >> sometimes great same . dev not working for me so can't compare Which AI tools am I missing to try? btw cursor is great just can't get me from 0 to 1 well

v0 is really good for prototyping but isn’t to the point to spin up live production stuff. Cursor is by far still able to get from blank to an app since it’s an actual code editor. Esp since Claude 3.7 recently came out both the edit and Agent mode are 🔥 Would love your take on Onlook, Replit and Loveable.

does anything take you to live stuff? For me it's more I get velocity in prototyping to see something vs just having it in my head (I am not a designer able to frontend code it fast or use sigma)

In terms of end to end, I prototyping apps in like next (e.g. for more complex frames) I still go down to the code with Cursor and have more recently lean on agent mode and I supervise more. For small complexity stuff, v0 can visualize and get apps started since it has that direct UI feedback. ofc with the Vercel side, it can deploy for you which is nice. For very very basic stuff (I’m talking like HTML/JS/CSS), pretty much any tool can get you started. Generally speaking, I have still found for UI stuff all struggle. Im still looking for a way to make beautiful stuff. Apparently there are new integrations with like figma via MCP that can take designs and code them up. I haven’t experimented with this much since it came out like last week.
