Warpcast is stopping warp rewards for hub runners. - There are plenty of hubs, well above target (382 vs target of 100) - Rewards are driving people to run more hubs on slow hardware - This is making the network slower for everyone We'll turn off rewards for a month to see where the steady state lands, and revisit.

Is it hard to implement a minimum hardware speed requirement?

There’s no way for us to tell what you’re running on. Would need hubs to “test” each others perf, which is the long term fix

Is it possible to reward based on hub latency?

yes, but still anyone running slows down the network even if you don't get rewards. and just manually doing extra work for logic to reward based on latency and measuring each hubs latency all that may not make sense. likely a wait and see if needed thing. that mechanism could also enforce that like V said in longrun
