yesterday I found out that nextjs v13+ indefinitely caches native fetch requests in server actions by default and I implemented a server side TTL cache without knowing it did that, kept thinking it was my code

why is fetch not just fetch

like realistically programming has gotten so non-vanilla that we need to pay a monthly LLM subscription to code and attract influencers to make lies about writing an app without writing a single line of code
