A web3 developer just straight up asked me what is the value of Base ETH compared to, uh, ETH

"1 ETH is 1 ETH right? well it depends" ~ @alexroytenberg 

why? because staked ETH to ETH to wETH to base ETH and the likes are not necessarily the same tax and accounting wise. You need to examine them all.
