actually, i can chime in here as i've been a (vocal) proponent of merkle to start simplifying docs and lego pieces

a lot of the things can be encapsulated and abstracted away (e.g. interacting with the chain)

one thing i did like was getting mentions from hubble, it was basically "getMentions" (but the types were wrong in ts, they can also be fixed)

Farcaster has no viem 

So working with hubs is a pain like early Ethereum 

Will be fun to see anyone continue what started as fhub and build great dev tooling on top of hubs beyond typescript interface to the API like the current Hubble nodejs

What’s the canonical source you can set auto updates for?

Currently all folks I speak to just monitor the git mono repo every once in a while 

And Proto types don’t make working with them easy so they aren’t viem

Need a snapchain wrapper that is essentially evm/ethereum rpc compliant so that it can just plug into evm tooling
