some personal news: after almost 2 years i’m stepping away from unlonely and @briang will continue on as its ever fearless leader i’ve learned so much about building a consumer platform from scratch, riding the ups and downs of this industry, working with a sibling and i’m so proud of what we made. over the last 2 years we ran 50+ product, content & GTM experiments just between us two and our founding engineer - ranging from prediction markets on streams, interactive tokens, IRL live show productions, etc. we built a place for people to express themselves, connect with others, and monetize, where we started bootstrapping our own content (never forget love on leverage) to test product features at some scale. i love hearing how unlonely has been a part of people’s stories and relationships - the butterfly effect is real <3 1/2

i don’t know what’s next for me yet, but i’m excited! taking some time to zoom out of the founder-survival-mode tunnel vision and think about what gets me going. i’ve always had a deep interest in religion & philosophy, the arts, health & wellness, human centered urban design and figuring out what makes people happy and fulfilled. always happy to chat if you have overlapping interests or ideas, pls comment or DM and make it clear you’re not just throwing your hat in the ring for the greece wedding +1 meme lol i’d love to continue supporting other builders as well, particularly female & diverse bc i know how daunting it felt for me to start unlonely despite all the advantages i already had - overcoming the imposter syndrome has been a huge part of the journey that i’ve learned to embrace. gm and ilu all!!! 2/2

transitions are painful but longterm great, excited for you when I was sick I studied psychology, meditation, philosophy I miss it every day. being sick sucked but having all that time to study and think was like living in an internal gold mine poor as fuck on the outside, rich as fuck on the inside.

thanks sam! that's real, internal peace + progress is everything, but easy to lose sight of in the chaos of everyday life
