A friend once told me how they locked themselves out of their apartment one morning. They had been in a hurry, juggling their bag, coffee, and phone while heading out the door. The moment the door clicked shut, they realized their keys were still inside. Frustration hit as they stood in the hallway, running late for work. With no spare keys, they called a locksmith, who said it would take about an hour to arrive. Sitting on the steps of their building, they sipped their now-cold coffee, scrolling through their phone, trying to laugh it off. By the time the locksmith came, they were late for work but happy to finally get inside.

He woke up in a panic, realizing his alarm hadn’t gone off. Glancing at the clock, he saw he had only a few minutes to get ready and leave for work. Throwing on clothes and grabbing his keys, he rushed out the door. By some miracle, he caught the bus just in time. As he settled into his seat, out of breath, he couldn’t help but laugh at how close he came to missing it all. The day was off to a chaotic start, but at least he made it.

It was a typical Tuesday afternoon, and the sun was shining brightly as he walked to his car after work. He was looking forward to a quiet evening at home. As he approached the parking lot, he noticed a young woman struggling with a flat tire on her car. Without a second thought, he approached her and offered his help. Together, they managed to change the tire and get her back on the road. Grateful for the assistance, she offered him a coffee as a thank you, which he gladly accepted. As they chatted over coffee, they realized they had much in common. What started as a simple act of kindness turned into an unexpected new friendship.
