I just set my dad up with a burner card and showed him how to swap ETH to USDC on @base and put some money into @pooltogether and there are a lot of aspects that have gotten a lot better. It was still obnoxiously hard to do and also explain what each step was doing. 

Not that it should matter but this guy is a software and hardware engineer and only retired a couple of years ago. I was going to do the same for my mum but it’s gonna be too hard!

No he’s not a social media person so just wanted to set him up a wallet so a swap to USDC and deposit into pool together.

actually wasn't that bad with my brother recently, he wasn't into crypto at all, the age is the difference though I suspect :)

have you tried him to go through farcaster sign up and so on?

Yeah we were doing it all from his phone and while it’s great that you can do it unless you know exactly what to press and when it’s basically impossible

Definitely way too hard. Wallet connect requires way too many click and it’s not intuitive at all

Pro tip, on the cabana UI you can swap directly from anything in your wallet into the deposit token. Makes it MUCH easier :)

I think he largely understood pooltogether for the most part. On mobile there are a couple of extra clicks to get to the pools which isn’t super intuitive but not a blocker. It was mostly the back and forth with walletconnect
