the whole gabagool = proxy story is still wild and shocking to me. it genuinely felt like we all knew the guy — he came across as sincere, thoughtful, and deeply engaged in every conversation. i was looking forward to meeting him one day. i've never seen someone so good at highlighting people and projects — and that played a huge role in clanker becoming what it is. there's no other launchpad where the founder was so invested in the community, and so skilled at writing thoughtful, engaging content about what users were building. maybe he was trying to make things right this time, but i guess we'll never know. we can't afford to give him another chance after what he did to his velodrome team, just months after publicly talking greed and scams in a vice interview. it's super unfortunate, and honestly, i don't even know how to feel. nothing but respect and condolences to the whole team. i can only imagine how hard it must've been to uncover the truth. that said — keep on clanking, motherfuckers.

If it’s the Clanker News on X that account is full of shit. Posted fake audio of a supposed “meeting” where Coinbase “employees” discussed not listing Clanker in favor of Zora right before Clanker got listed. Ngl started to think it might be a proxy alt stirring crazy shit but 🤷♂️

it's clearly full of made up shit, and what they did to max fud zora when it came out was insane — couldn't believe proxy was even giving them a platform. well, i can believe it now.
