If I wanted to play SNES games with my kids—what’s the best set up? Buy an old SNES on eBay? Analogue Super NT on eBay? Another emulator? What about games? Goal is as close to original feel with controllers / playing on a TV.

TBH can't go wrong with any of the options people have listed. As always the most hardcore path will involve the most work/cost (CRTV, Analogue Super NT or RetroN, actual cartridges). I have both the Switch and the Mini, as well as a hacked Sony PSP turned retro emulator decades ago. The Switch is great if you just want to beat games when you have time or traveling. The Mini is actually great for the overall old-school feel of the controllers and dealing with cables as annoying as it is has a certain nostalgic charm.
