In Japan restaurants don't let you split bills. So my friends and I had running debts that were hard to keep track of. Divide makes it easy, and we can settle fast with usdc. [inverse ama is the cooolest idea]

A follow up question, what is splitting culture like in Japan? In Canada we get all separate bills. In the United States we put down our cards and split equally

People split bills just like in the west, but restaurants predominately issue one bill and allow only one payer. For that reason bringing cash to an outing is common. It's declining but there is more of a cash culture here in general. Many older restaurants or cafes don't accept cards at all, for example.
