It’s an illusion. My husband is amazing. Certain skills have compounded over the years. I have a good balance of patience and urgency. And lots of /coffee

Probably being a parent. 

You’re forced to have a long view - actions done in the moment don’t have immediate feedback loops. So it’s a practice in discipline - do what you think is the right thing day after day, year after year, and hope the results turn out ok.
