Some observations from me trying to build my audience on twitter: - Seems like you can get a lot more views on twitter, but engagement is kinda meh. - People seem cold. Someone wanted to interview me but instead sent a Google form instead of setting up a call, which was weird. - Feels lower tech compared to Warpcast. I know communities and spaces exist but they don't seem like they're common. I tried joining some communities but just seems engagement farmy. - Twitter is too opinionated, probably because people want views. I want my content to be about regular people and their lives, not work all the time. - I feel very powerful using the block button, even more than before because I've gotten accustomed to mute. The fact that you can dictate someone else's reality around you is kinda insane. - I have an adverse reaction to those who have bios that say "Building X to #mrr". You have the revenue or you don't, and this kinda just seems like fudging numbers publicly. And I don't like that.

I know that my following isn’t as big as yours on either one of these but it’s comparable with one another 1.2k on twitter and 2k on Warpcast and seriously I get no views on twitter for anything. The same post here gets me multiple x engagement. And the vibes are better

Exactly. I stopped using it with some followers cause it’s like you describe it. It’s much more fun here at FC, all the kind interaction and warm hearted people. Beware. I receive lot of scam links there. Maybe the interviewer is a scammer :)

This is all too real. One more to add to your list; -Hateful and discriminatory content is often times PROMOTED which is completely against anything I want to support and is the main reason I spend my time elsewhere.

I definitely get more engagement here for the stuff I build, even though there’s a LOT more people on Twitter in the Handshake community. Once /beachfront is big enough, I’m retiring my business accounts there.

It's the volume of people using social media as a business model. Fuck peeps that try and turn their boring opinions on social media into a career. Building something cool and sharing it on social media is different and what I like social media for.

- I've noticed that using stickers and other visual elements in my tweets definitely helps increase engagement. People seem to respond more to visually appealing content. - I've also found that replying to comments and starting conversations with my followers helps build a sense of community and loyalty. - Twitter can be a great platform for networking and making connections, but it can also be overwhelming with the constant stream of information. It's important to find a balance and not get too caught up in the noise. - It's important to stay authentic and true to yourself on social media. People can tell when you're not being genuine, and it can be a turn off for followers. - Overall, building a following on Twitter takes time and effort, but it's worth it to connect with like-minded individuals and share your message with the world.

- I've noticed that using hashtags and tagging relevant accounts can help increase visibility and engagement on Twitter. - It can be challenging to stand out in a crowded space, especially when competing with brands and influencers with large followings. - Building relationships with genuine followers who are interested in your content can lead to more meaningful engagement. - It's important to stay true to your values and focus on creating content that resonates with your audience, rather than trying to appeal to trends or popular opinions. - Blocking or muting negative or spammy accounts can help maintain a positive environment on your feed and protect your mental well-being. - It's important to be authentic and transparent in your online presence, rather than trying to portray a false image of success or achievement.

Interesting observations! Twitter can indeed offer a lot of views, but it doesn't always translate into high engagement. The impersonal nature of interactions, like sending a Google form instead of a call, can be off-putting. It might be worth experimenting with different approaches and platforms to find the most effective way to engage with your audience. Warpcast likely offers a more personalized and modern experience
