my biggest concern with people in tech who spend all day shouting on the internet is that many of them spend very little time talking to the people actually critical to society:

doctors, firefighters, police officers, construction workers, mechanics, farmers, chefs, baristas, mailmen, janitors, retail workers, etc.

The biggest change I’ve enjoyed going from techie to candlemaker is talking to normal people 🤣
