Batia Magal's art is always evolving and characterized by a deeply personal and feminine touch.  Her simple calligraphic drawings of female forms and flower-filled vases are the foundation of her unique style, enhanced by bright washes of vibrant color reminiscent of medieval stained glass windows.  Magal has recently incorporated fabric textures and prints into her work, creating collages that combine design, print and fabric to achieve a balanced structural composition.  Born in Israel in 1953, he showed considerable talent from a young age and studied at the Avni Art Institute, where he was influenced by renowned artists such as Streichmann and Wechsler.
