contrarian AGI thesis: AGI does not immediately solve biological issues due to lack of knowledge. Instead it proposes a series of studies and experiments to acquire knowledge that might take decades to bear fruit. We get mired in political debates about which populations might be compelled to participate in these experiments, what ethical cautions to take, and so on.
