what a sad story. my reactions:
- academia, not even once
- poly, not even once. (no judgement, i just personally don't want the kind of turmoil it tends to create)
- we could use a more rational, principled pool of grant money to fund people like this

I’m really getting spooked by this kind of “retconning” of relationships into something far more insidious than was communicated or understood by consenting adults *at the time*. The burden of proof should be contemporaneous evidence, not a loose interpretation of dynamics in retrospect.
