the twitter algorithm being complete dog shit for weeks feels like a potential strong medium-term farcaster tailwind 90% of the tweets are not even remotely in the ballpark of topics i care about and ive been trying(and failing) to prune the algo by hitting the toggle and selecting “show me fewer posts like this”

It's bad but you keep using it? Stated vs. revealed?

yes it's bad and i do keep using it, but i am doing so mostly out of *years* of habit But i would bet a lot of money that my average time per open is down substantially (i close the app out of frustration of not seeing the content that i want)

the reason i keep using it is because i know how valuable twitter *can* be when the algo actually works. And I know the content that i want to see *is* there. so i keep trying to tell the algo "show me less like this" (i've prob done this for 500+ tweets at this point)

Right, but the thing to solve for is the potential for being valuable. Breaking news, alpha, real-time meme tsunami (e.g. last week's debate) is the upstream thing.
