Do not raise even *$1* unless you plan to raise at least $10m over the course of your business. Not even from friends and family. Better to be forced by constraints to find a sustainable business model and have ultimate control over the outcome without any obligation to anyone else. Find a co-founder you’re 100% aligned with and has a complementary skill set and just build until you find PM fit.

@salvino
do you think it's possible to raise and still maintain total control over direction?

There’s 3 outcomes 1) failure / zero (most likely) 100% of zero is zero 2) moderate success / outcome (possible if almost everything goes right) << it is this outcome where you will wish you owned it all 3) $100m+ exit (extremely unlikely and almost always requires over $10m+ invested capital). Everyone wins and is happy
