We returned home to Oahu from our weekend on Kauai to news of an active eruption on the Big Island, with fountaining lava… … so tempting to jump flights over there to see and photograph it, but trying to use this week to recover a bit from the traveling, and focus on my rehab. It has been quite a while since we have seen ocean entry lava, though… if that happens while we are here, I may not be able to resist.

Mahalo, Sally… this was my first trip to see an ocean entry lava flow back in 2013. Definitely hooked on it now! 🤙🏼💙🌋
