taking from the creator here is big feelsbad. enjoyr and whatever it evolves into will be designed up with incentives and value-alignment built-in for all participants. with a token at the core ($enjoy), we have to. in other words, what we build will be enjoyable. tech is a commodity. users are the brand.

it’s up to the creator, they don’t need to use cointags if they don’t want to. it’s good incentive alignment since tags often see spam. So creators have some skin in the game and pay the community to align.

of course they don't need to, but they should want to. creator already pays the biggest toll.

i haven't thought this thru 100% but a creator tagging a specific community taps into that community's distribution (token communities are incentivized to amplify good onchain work since it's demand for their token) so ideally creators give up 20% but have way more eyes on their work in theory a win win we'll see

if someone thinks that 50% that zora gives to creators is too little that's another discussion, i'm referring to 80/20 also changing the whole fee setup would've taken to ship this much longer and once again time required to rewire creators to a new fee structure

i understand the concept, that's why we created enjoyr, except with a better fee structure. Giving the creator less than 50% is deeply extractive and misunderstands economics. If the community is doing so much distribution, zora should take a pay cut, not the creator.
