Last night I created an experiment on Farcaster that went farther than intended. What started as platform research revealed deeper truths about incentives, boundaries, consent, and human impact in web3. Some important lessons and thoughts on building better systems: https://blog.danfinlay.com/meme-tokens-and-consent/

Yeah, I somehow thought I could just carve out a niche for someone else to do it, but I had the most remarkable experience of putting what seemed like an objectively fantastic idea in public for a half decade and nobody making a single motion for it. I start actually building it and suddenly everyone is pro 7702, 7715.

haha touche. i think circa 2018 had some really great ideas (web of trust, TCRs), just ahead of their time. your battle scars building metamask did the entire space good. excited about Delegation toolkit, it can objectively and programatically drive the idea of web of trust.

The good news is those ideas have only matured into increasingly tangible tools, and they’ve built nuance and helped me find community too. Ideas are awesome.
