Wdygt about the new API pricing model Reddit is introducing? I've been using Apollo for years. Rip Apollo https://reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/13ws4w3/had_a_call_with_reddit_to_discuss_pricing_bad/

My twitter use dropped dramatically when they pulled the same thing, official client is so bad. I’m switching to Teddit from today and if that’s blocked I’ll probably just stop visiting entirely

An open protocol like this one just makes so much sense. Client diversity has to be a good thing for everyone.

Absolutely. I don’t know what sort of pricing model works for services where users themselves generate almost all of the value, maybe something like discord servers where users can sponsor the sub forums they use? But it’s definitely not forcing users to accept tracking and intrusive ads via an official client
