It’s wild how much LLMs accelerate dev time.

Just set up a websocket server (I’ve only done this a couple times) which polls for onchain data, refactored my frontend to use it, tested & deployed in under 3 hours.

It's incredible when you consider all these productivity gains for each person that uses them. At the macro level, it's astounding. All these CEOs saying we just use AI to augment our human employees not replace them are full of shit. If productivity massively increases, you need fewer people unless demand goes up an equal or greater rate.

Mine as well. I think the pace of AI and automation improvements will start really biting down on the workforce now though. And AI + embodied AI (humanoid cobots, etc.) will deal a killer blow to some previously less affected industries in the next few years. We'll see how different countries and governments deal with it. I can't see how it doesn’t get really ugly though.

My instinct for years has been jobs are going to disappear but I’ve been wrong so far. Although it wouldn’t be shocking if the tech industry layoffs of the past few years will continue and expand into the rest of the economy.
