Besides a psychologically alarming desire to see people suffer, I think one of the primary reasons certain folks rally against social services and safety nets is because they believe that it will make people lazy. I couldn’t disagree more and I think you’ve been swindled. If more people didn’t have to live in constant fear of their basic needs being met they could accomplish things that would change the world

Even just healthcare and child care could skyrocket entrepreneurship. More than anything else, this country is set up to maintain and grow the wealth of the already wealthy.
