I keep thinking of animals (such as pigeons) who experience the world at a higher FPS, i.e. in slow motion / higher temporal resolution relative to us Humans experience this occasionally e.g. when going through an accident / life-threatening situation Is it possible to chemically induce this state of hyper vigilance?

I strongly prefer the highest FPS possible for anything from games to movies to regular TV. Low frame rate is basically unwatchable for me, even when others don't notice it all. What's weird is that sometimes, after watching high FPS, real life looks higher def for a few hours. It's like unlocking a superpower!
