I'm sick of these people getting fines when they should be in jail. As part of the deal with the U.S. Justice Department, McKinsey will avoid prosecution on criminal charges if it pays the sum and follows certain conditions for five years, including ceasing any work on the sale, marketing or promotion of controlled substances, according to the court papers. https://apnews.com/article/mckinsey-justice-department-criminal-penalty-opioids-crisis-d47d1bc1c4e14288927c2aea2369b789?taid=675c4c32474c59000133764c&utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&utm_medium=AP&utm_source=Twitter

I hate how fines like this are usually far less than what the companies made committing the crimes in the first place. It's just a cost of doing business now and still extremely profitable.

Exactly. Screw over the people, get a slap on the wrist. These corporations caused death and destruction. They should get life sentences. We need to hold them to the same standard a drug dealer would be held.

just to make sure we're clear, fuck mcKinsey, I hope they are broken up for being parasitic leeches on the already parasitic managarial class and their executives and partners all get thrown in jail... That said, according to the article, they were paid $93 Million for their work with the opioid crisis, so the 650 Million, plus the previous $765 Million they paid out. They definitely got hurt more than they benefitted with this crisis.
