Sometimes when I’m really lucky, I get to go to an illumination event and hunt the red leaves at night. This was a special event just for people staying overnight in the hot springs town.  This is my favorite part of Autumn in Japan. It’s always a little magical.

What exactly are the uses of these flowers? I know they're beautiful but you said you went to Japan just to hunt them, is that the only reason why?
