Rodeo doesn't sit well with me, not sure why yet but probably it's probably just image overload. Making (very) micro-payments to acknowledge an artist is great but it seems like a place to show WIPS, share and go deeper on process. It's interesting to see an example of @celadoor's photographic practice. documentation of IMG_0741 by celadoor on @rodeodotclub

That was very much an experiment in trying to figure out where Rodeo sits in my social media world. Is it an Instagram/twitter replacement? If so I would love more control over how those posts can be used ( @kayvon ) because I think from the artist POV that is a critical part of this. I may not want every post to have the same permissions. Maybe some you can collect and trade but some just automatically go to regular collectors but cannot be traded. This is all open ended at this point and with Rodeo we can engage in ways we cannot in the web2 platforms … and as skeptical as I am in the whole creator economy thing I know that social media will be a market and I want a dashboard that allows me to post and manage in one place. I don’t want to be locked in to a decision on chains or markets or anything. And that has way more value than a momentary social media platform.
