Most discourse in the US is around “what’s happening with men” well men are pretty much oscillating as normal, about the same as they were in the 90’s.

That's what happens when you start to play group identity games in a pathologically individualistic society and exclusionary tribalism kicks in. All that exacerbated (or directly caused) by the fact that those with the power to bridge the divide happen to be the ones who most benefit from it.
