to be fair I feel this way about many daos

It's an app for governance models (similar in some ways to Snapshot)

Think the confusion probably lies in that it's not hyperfocused on DAOs, but for communities in general

It's a front for VC funding. They're building white label "governance abstraction services" and using JokeRace as a proof of concept, trying to portray some concept of web3 values to entice users.
