I'm trying to learn how to ice skate backwards so that I can start playing ice hockey

Practice is obviously great, but the best way is to start playing. You are so focussed on getting the puck or positioning, that you your body takes over and starts skating however it needs to. Your skating will improve waaaay faster playing a game than just practicing.... But do both for max benefit!!!!

I've signed up for a team and it's gonna be starting soon so will definitely have both to help me improve. Needed to dust off some cobwebs today and saw some improvement!
