I thought it was likely disinformation because fighter jet communications are encrypted. Even if Pakistan had the technology to decrypt , publicly revealing this capability during an active conflict would be dumb. 

You conceal or obscure your intel capabilities to maintain tactical/strategic advantage. Revealing a capability like this to make a lame joke about dinosaurs being extinct at a press conference is kind of dumb.

But I could be wrong
