My unpopular (at least in tech) opinion is that professional education is bad and liberal arts is gud actualy. 

You can pick up job skills anytime anywhere, but you can realistically only sit deeply with history, philosphy, and the arts when you're under 20.

it's never too late to learn to code. but it often is too late for people to learn to think. once you're used to thinking wrong, it's hard to think right again

Brings up that idea that schools are designed not to teach you how to think, but what to think. 

And the notion that education stops once you're no longer in an educational setting, and this is where autodidacts thrive whilst others stagnate.
