Apparently the info came from the Dutch. But supposedly the actors were known in those circles. Most of them trained by the CIA

German news agency, Spiegel, reports that the US notified Germany about a possible attack on the Nord Stream pipelines in June 2022. However, the chancellor declared the information "not relevant." The Ukrainian secret service carried out the attack with a total budget of $300,000. https://archive.is/DQiDx

Ethereum will win stables and real life payments simply through coinbase. Although I don’t see this having an impact on retail. Fintechs built on top of Base & USDC will abstract that away for the user

Bad UX if you can cast at 3 am ET but not at 12pm because it’s more active now. Also means that poor people will be priced out at peak times, e.g big discussion going on. Having a static threshold is better

New gen of memecoins started on Solana and will stay there for the foreseeable future because of network effects. Liquidity doesn’t matter after a certain point. Ethereum L2s have enough liquidity, base has 2.5 billion usd worth of eth for example. So that’s not the issue. There wasn’t simply no community for memecoin trading on ethereum. That’s it

It’s just network effects imo. Liquidity doesn’t really matter. Same thing could have started on any of the big L2s but there wasn’t a community for that.

Base holds ~800,000 ETH so about 2.6 billion USD worth of ETH. That should be enough liquidity, no?

cursor + claude can give you the correct github link if you write something like `[vault.deposit()]()`, after you've done it a couple times manually. Even uses the correct commit hash.

I think the importance is whether the feature attracts new users or existing users. I think we can confidently say >90% of Farcaster users are also Warpcast users. If a feature in a third party farcaster app attracts existing, i.e. Warpcast, users, they shouldn’t copy it. Because there’s no point. But, if a feature attracts completely new users that’s a different story.

If Warpcast grows, Farcaster grows. That’s the gist of it. Anything else isn’t important.

Any entity that doesn’t have an opposition that threatens its position will naturally become a dictator

The implosion of OpenAI is a good thing. The whole idea of creating a single organization to stop the AI dictatorship of a single entity is stupid. Whatever you build becomes the dictator. Instead, we now have multiple independent players on presumably equal footing: No one knows how to get to AGI.

Also this movie is very Yukio Mishima-esque. So if you like his books you’ll probably also enjoy this movie

Have been listening to Forbidden Colours the main theme of this movie a lot over the last two years. So I decided to watch the movie tonight and Ryuichi Sakamoto, the composer of the song, plays the Japanese captain in charge of the POW camp in the movie. The man can do it all. Quite the predicament for the dev team as well. Thats a large sum. Do you help your user and create a precedent or just ignore it? If your contracts wouldn’t be upgradeable, you wouldn’t have that problem. https://x.com/0xngmi/status/1855726803413094497?s=46
