Sometimes people forget there's a really simple fix for democrats on the crypto issue. Stop being anti-crypto. Be pro-crypto. This is a wedge issue because the democrats made it one. Complete self own. So...just stop doing it. Democrats, ungensler yourselves.

I honestly think the "anti-crypto" democrats are just the clowns that were blindly following SBF, and in their embarrassment of getting in bed with an obvious scammer, over-correcting. My senator, Ron Wyden, has always championed privacy tech, including cryptocurrencies, and worked extensively to ensure hard limits on FISA and mass surveillance. To me, his values align perfectly with core Democratic party values, despite the weird new agenda items being pushed by Warren etc.

I don’t think the Democrats are united on being anti-crypto. It may be that the anti-crypto Dems have had the most power recently, but it’s changing and I’m hopeful they’re moving towards pro-crypto.

Being pro or anti crypto in US politics right now is a distraction, it's not substantive either way. What's important is are they authoritarian or do they support things like freedom of open source code, freedom of information and so on. Dem and GOP say different things about crypto but they are both authoritarian parties so they shouldn't be trusted on this issue. The Green Party gives people an anti-authoritarian option to vote for. The bigger the Greens get the more pressure we can put on the politicians to make better policy for all of us.

Being pro/anti crypto hasn't changed the fact that during a democratic presidency both BTC and ETH have ETFs, crypto has minted more millionaires, and it has adapted under pressure to establish its true user and business case. If it's an issue - it's because people are creating it as one.

If we assume for a moment that Kamala Harris will be the candidate, my guess is, she is unlikely to change her stance of the general anti-crypto party line. However, times are changing, we have BTC ETFs now and Eth ETFs on the way shortly. One hopes there will be some kind of epiphany perhaps.
