good framing may I argue that fundamental differences are further down the stack? if crypto doesn’t stop naval gazing and chasing low-friction wins, Stripe (et al.) will gain on the advantages of programmable money and defi. on-chain data is public and transparent, SWIFT and Visa aren’t. DX has been an advantage from the heydays of web APIs. Theory already proven by even the clunky REST API PayPal had circa 2011. on-chain data is similar to datasets and Big Data which lead to AI Agents: structure Stripe has amazing docs, code samples, public repos which AI can RAG and build upon. Crypto has a turf wars and scattered standards. trad fi has something crypto (as a collective) hasn’t yet fully grasped, beyond “UX, UX, UX” S. Balmer-style chants: context on-chain data is accessible, yet without context and human cognition the difference between a squatted ENS and someone’s dad is fuzzy. @sheldrake has been articulating this need for many years and our team is cooking AUX follows data
