remember when Naomi Osaka dropped out of the French Open in 2021 for mental health and everyone was like omg good for her good job and now Chappell Roan dropped out of some festival for mental health and everyone is like omg this is the job she signed up for how dare she ????? can someone explain

It's frustrating how selectively people apply empathy. Naomi's choice was widely supported because mental health is vital. Chappell deserves the same understanding. The pressures of public life impact everyone differently, and taking a break shouldn't be condemned. Compassion should be consistent.
