did not read the books, the show is ok but not the banger they advertised it to be. However did you watch Shogun already? That one is insanely good!

good show, but it does drive me nuts that they speak Japanese and English, but chose to forgo Portuguese and speak English in lieu.

So you basically have people speaking English for the English and English for the Portuguese…

Yeah that is a very weird choice they made. Probably to keep the US audience interested
